Why we expect these gadgets in 2020.
We’re at the kickoff of a new year and as usual more expectations from tech geeks all over the world. It is the start of the year that we sit back to reflect on what we didn’t get in the previous gadgets, what could have improved it and what could have been added and this is where we talk about gadgets to expect in 2020. A new year is where developers fix the mess caused in the previous year and also introduce newly conceived ideas.
For some of us, every year comes with a lot of promise and expectations. For example, this the year I feel a batch of things has to change with regards to a smartphone. I’ve dived deep to research, and I present to you gadgets we’re to expect in 2020.
Google Pixel 4a & 4a XL
The A-series is virtually a subset of the main Pixel smartphones. Google ranks the Pixel as its premium or first-class smartphone and for that matter, they’re very expensive. Owing to the price tag, not everyone could afford the Google Pixel which is their flagship product. Consequently, Google introduces the A series. The A series aimed at providing the same premium features and feel of the Pixel but with a lower price tag. Google does so well, causing the divergence between the Pixel and the A-series closely identical. The differences will not be noticed on the daily usage of these two phones. The Pixel 4a and the 4a XL are we are expecting in 2020 with the hope that Google replaces the telephoto with wide-angle camera in the Pixel 4a and 4a XL respectfully.
A 5G iPhone
At the end of 2019, we saw the emergence of a fifth generation. In simple term, a fifth-generation is a wireless technology for a digital cellular network. It fares well with more download and loading speed. Which means internet browsing and communication are going to get faster over a cellular device with 5G. Perhaps the fastest.
Apple has produced a heap of great smartphones, but surprisingly none of their phones 5G compatible. Often their phone is mostly third generating (3G) or fourth-generation (4G) compatibility. With the sprint of 5G, we expect Apple to create a smartphone that will move along with the latest version of wireless technology for a better digital cellular smartphone experience.
An Android One Samsung phone
Samsung is one company that produces a heap of the smartphone. This has bearing on the company’s ability to channel out software updates to all these phones without having to neglect some. In 2020, Samsung should assign their middle-range entry smartphone with Google’s Android one program. This will facilitate the company to focus more on providing software supports for its flagship smartphones like Galaxy S9 & 9plus, S10e, S10 & S10 plus. It’ll help Samsung to compete more with phone manufacturers like Nokia, Xiaomi, Motorola and Oneplus likewise on the software aspect.
A Huawei phone with its operating system
On May 2019, Google detached the Chinese mobile manufacturing giant Huawei from a list of companies that could use its operating system (Android). This ban was triggered by Donald Trump’s administration’s issuance of executive orders. The order sought to prevent Chinese companies from utilizing any software developed by an American company. Since then Huawei has produced phones like the Nova 65G, Mate 30, 30 Pro and P smart Pro. All these phones are without a single major and important Google application pre-installed.
Applications such as YouTube, Chrome, play, store, Google map, Google Drive, Gmail, and a ton of other apps are not installed on any single Huawei device that was produced in the latter portion of 2019. In a nutshell, we hope and expect a Huawei produced smartphone with their operating system will be manufactured in 2020. We are anticipating the operating system will feature their app store with an open-source which will enable app developers to make their apps for the Huawei app store.
