Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro received an OTA update last night with little detail on what the update is seeking to bring to the new Google flagship.
According to Verizon, the tiny 15MB update was released to fix the Pixel 6’s slow an under-display fingerprint reader. For owners of the Pixel 6, this is exciting but for people like us, it leaves us with a lot of questions as to why Google will push updates to the Pixel 6 without indicating what it entails.
Notwithstanding many people have already flashed the OTA update, with none confirming if it did improve the Pixel 6’s fingerprint reader.
Perhaps the fingerprint reader [after the update ] was a quick, post-update that it integrated flawlessly into the device and was no longer an irritation.
Well, let’s hope the update fixes the laggy fingerprint ready. You can get the update manually here if you are yet to receive it via OTA.
