The much-anticipated first-ever pop-up selfie camera phone from Infinix is here. Infinix S5 Pro was launched on the 6th of March, 2020. In December 2019, I wrote a post about Infinix’s mobility plans to launch a pop-up selfie camera phone. In the post, I explained that Mr. Benjamin Jiang in a radio interview inferred that Infinix Mobility will introduce a smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera.
Infinix however, withheld the specific model that will have the pop-up selfie camera. The announcement in India on the 6th of March 2020 cut short all the speculations surrounding the S5 Pro.
The S5 Pro is a novelty from Infinix mobility. The phone was launched in India on the 6th of March 2020. It is not yet available in Ghana. Nonetheless, the device will soon hit the Ghanaian market probably by the 2nd quarter of 2020.
Infinix S5 Pro features a full 6.53-inch HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 10.5.9 ratio thus 395ppi. The phones possess a plastic back, frame, and glass in the front.
The device comes with a 48MP for wide-angle photography and a 2MP depth sensor rare camera. The most talked-about pop-up selfie camera also comes with a motorized 16MP pop-up camera for wide-angles. The selfie camera furthermore serves as facial recognition. Both front and rear record videos up to 1080p@30fps. S5 Pro is powered by a Mediatek chipset MT6765 Helio P35 with octa-core GHz Cortex-A53. It has 64GB of storage, 4GB of RAM, and a slot for expanded storage through a micro SD card.
Infinix S5 Pro operates on Android 10 based on XOS UI. It also features a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back of the device.
The phones come with a non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery. S5 Pro comes in three different colors, Forest Green, Sea Blue, and Violet color.
