Popular Kumawood actor Ras Nene, born Akwasi Antwi has been noted for all notorious and gangster roles in the movie industry, which is normally because of his scary looks.
Nonetheless, in a recent interview he granted his colleague, Kwaku Manu on his ‘Aggressive Interview’ show, Ras Nene disclosed that the things he did on-screen translated into his real life as he made shocking revelations about his life.
“I worked for Satan for many years, no pay, no gain,” he told fellow colleague, Kwaku Manu in an interview monitored by nanaoseiike.com
At a very young age, Ras Nene said he was making good money from selling drugs like marijuana and cocaine at Tafo, a suburb in the Ashanti Regional capital Kumasi.
He also believed in juju and has consulted a lot of juju men for spiritual powers in order to protect himself and also prosper.
Explaining further, he said most of his roles in movies depicted the actual gangster life he was living and thus made it easier for him.
The Kumawood actor added that he was so bad that even when someone like Kwaku Manu was asking him to accompany him to church, he was taking money from him.
But through this arrangement of going to church with Kwaku Manu, Ras Nene had a change of heart and he decided to throw away his charms.
Since then, he has been born-again and has even embarked on a campaign to take the youth away from drugs.
